Sustainable soil management

The Sustainable Soil Management scheme is part of the Practical Knowledge Program for Food and Green. Within this program, 3 thematic calls are executed.
This call is currently closed.

What is it?
Sustainably managed agricultural soils form the basis for circular agriculture. The target is that all Dutch agricultural soils will be sustainably managed by 2030. This is so that the soil can function optimally and the quality is and remains as high as possible for future generations.
In the vision of the Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, education is called upon to contribute to the realization of a leading position in the Netherlands in the field of circular agriculture. The Climate Table for Agriculture and Land Use also calls on education to organize itself on climate challenges.

The research project within this thematic call must fit in with the described framework and integrate the two sub-assignments:

Area-oriented optimal soil management
Carbon sequestration in the soil
For who is it?
The 4 government-funded HAO institutions. These are Van Hall Larenstein, Aeres Hogeschool, Inholland and HAS Hogeschool.
